Mar 2, 2014 - “You can’t kill us all - HKJA’s Standing in Silence Action”

The former Chief Editor of Ming Pao Kevin Lau was stabbed to life risked Wednesday morning .

We, members of Hong Kong media industry, condemned the brutal and violence attack against Lau.  The perpetrators are not only targeted at the media sector, but also challenged the rule of law and security of Hong Kong through attacking Lau under broad daylight.

A “Standing in Silence Action” named “You can’t kill us all”  will be held to protest against the attack. We urge the police to launch effective investment on Lau’s incident immediately, and tied perpetrators to justice.  We extend our blessing to Kevin and express our concern about the series of threat happened in the past years to Hong Kong’s press freedom. We sincerely invite every member of media industry to join the action. (We also welcome any members of public who are interested in joining us)
