China Under Xi Jinping

Is he left or is he right? Two years into the new leadership of Xi Jinping, people are still debating this question.

How has he consolidated power so quickly - and what does he want to do with it? What does his Chinese Dream mean? And are we really going to see further economic liberalisation?

Tania Branigan, who has been watching the country since 2008 as the Guardian’s China Correspondent, will share with you her insights on these issues.

Details of the Sharing:
Date: 3 October 2014
Time: 11 am
Venue: The Hong Kong Journalists Association (Flat A, 15/F., Henfa Comm. Building 348-350 Lockhart Road Wanchai, Hong Kong)
Language: English

The sharing is free and on first-come-first-served basis. To register your interest in the sharing, please email es@hkja.org.hk your (1) name, (2) organisation, (3) position and (4) phone number on or before 27 September 2014, Saturday. If you have any questions, please contact us at 2591 0692.
