The Hong Kong Journalists Association strives to enhance professional and ethical standards. An Ethics Committee comprised of three serving veteran journalists receives and vets complaints against unethical reporting of the local media. Complain procedures are as follows:
(1) . |
We accept written complaint only. Please send original report together with a complaint letter to: Ethics Committee, HKJA, 15A, Henfa Commercial Bldg, 348-350 Lockhart Road , Wanchai. |

(2) . |
The Ethics Committee will scrutinise the complaint in great detail before arriving at a judgement. |
|
|
(3) . |
Committee members will refer to the code of ethics of the Hong Kong Journalists Association when making the judgement.
|
|
|
(4) . |
We will send judgment to all parties concerned, and will also have it published in our publication "The Journalist" and our website.

|
Attention: Complainant have to provide real name and contact numbers to the Hong Kong Journalists Association. All personal particulars will only be used for investigative purpose, they will not be disclosed to the organisation complained. |
