Taiwan Presidential Election Study Trip
 
     Presidential election of Taiwan will be held on March 22. The result is influential to the strait relations as well as the political and economic status of Hong Kong in the Great China. Hong Kong media may be interested to cover the election. To facilitate colleagues to cover the election in a more comprehensive and professional way, the Hong Kong Journalists Association is organizing a study tour to Taiwan and meet with candidates and strategic persons in relations with the election. Candidates of KMT & DPP have principally agreed to meet with the participants. The HKJA will also extend our invitation to principle officials in charge of strait affairs, economic and defense affairs. Details of the tour are listed below:
 
Date20th to 23rd February 2008 (Wednesday  --  Saturday)

Fees
HKD $3500 (Tickets, lodging, transportation and insurance are included)

Language
Mainly Mandarin

Place
20 persons

Application Fill in the reply slip (Please download here) and fax it to 2572-7329 or email it back to hkja@hkja.org.hk by 31st January 2008.


Remarks:
The HKJA will not be responsible for the application of Taiwan Visa. Participants must personally handle all issues relating to their travel documents.
 
** For those not born in Hong Kong and Macau minimum of two weeks for visa application is
      necessary if he/she has not previously applied for a Taiwan Visa.
