The 10th Consumer Rights Reporting Awards

Dear Member,
Consumer Rights Reporting Awards aim to raise the general public's awareness of consumer rights and to award excellence in press coverage of consumer rights issues and concerns, for the enhancement of consumer empowerment and fair market. Please see below for more details of the awards.
Eligibility:
Open to journalists in both print and electronic media. Submissions must have been published or broadcast between 1 January and 31 December 2009.

Nomination:
Any media organisation or journalist may nominate an article or press photo published (including their own) by any local newspaper or magazine, or a programme broadcast by any local television or radio station. All prizes are awarded to the individuals.
Deadline:
31 January 2010
Entry Procedures:
Entries must reach the Consumer Council or the Hong Kong Journalists Association no later than 31 January 2009. A copy of the entry form must accompany each submission. Television entries must be recorded on DVDs or DVDs. Radio entries must be recorded on high quality CDs. Press photos must be of two copies of professional quality prints not smaller than 8" x 10", or in jpeg format not bigger than 5MB in size. Please email digital file of press photos to

Awards:
The Gold Award of HK$3,000 will be awarded to the top winner of each category, the Silver Award of HK$2,000 for the first runner-up and the Bronze Award of HK$1,000 for the second runner-up. Certificates of the merit will also be awarded to selected entries.
