今年是「六四事件」25周年。為抗議北京準備暴力鎮壓學生運動，香港《文匯報》25年前發表了舉世知名的「痛心疾首」四字社論，以「開天窗」的形式表達人民的憤怒。這個社論有力地動員百萬港人上街反對中共當局屠城行為。所以今年也是《文匯報》「痛心疾首」開天窗社論發表25周年。25年後今天，內地新聞自由沒有寸進，香港新聞自由也岌岌可危。近三個月來香港頻頻發生的打壓新聞自由事件，更直接挑戰香港的思想言論自由這些最核心的價值。「金堯如新聞基金」盼以紀念「痛心疾首」社論為契機，舉辦研討會，探討25年來中國內地和香港的新聞自由以及思想言論自由的發展狀況，探索捍衛新聞自由、言論自由的途徑。這更是通識學生了解「現代中國...
